L’Umbriaco Cured Ham marinated in red wine & covered with marc is made from a careful selection of the best Italian heavy pork legs. Seasoning takes place in Umbria in the Sibillini mountains at an altitude of 1000 metres above sea level. After deboning, the ham is immersed in Primitivo red wine and grape must for 15 days. The aroma thus penetrates the meat giving it an intense aroma and delicate flavour. When sliced it is round in shape and marbled.
